Alexa BERNABÉ
Associate solicitor
Alexa BERNABE joined CABINET HOUARI AVOCAT in 2022. Keen to work in family law, she puts the knowledge she acquired during her university studies and her highly instructive internships into practice in the service of the firm's clients. She handles family law litigation cases with conscientiousness, rigour and humanity, but also intervenes in amicable proceedings. Keen to broaden her areas of expertise and better meet your expectations, she is undertaking specialised training, particularly in the law relating to vulnerable persons.
In recent years, the need for protection has been growing, partly due to the ageing population. Over the years, protective measures have diversified and been supplemented. Whereas protection used to be mainly financial (legal protection, guardianship, trusteeship), it is now both financial and personal, and is tailored to the interests of the person to be protected.
The needs of each person in a vulnerable situation (elderly, sick, disabled, etc.) require tailored responses. Preserving the autonomy of adults is the judge's guiding principle. This autonomy is all the more essential to preserve in the case of commercial and professional activities of the person to be protected, particularities to which we pay close attention.
After analysing your family and financial situation, we can assist you in outlining the measures that can be put in place before (future protection mandate) or after the first signs of vulnerability, and then during the implementation of this measure (challenging the measure pronounced or an act performed by the protector, change of guardian, conversion of the measure, establishment of a management account, request for authorisation from the guardianship judge, etc.).
We will guide you through the process of these measures, whether judicial or contractual, and we will adapt to your needs.
